Other Facts: This boat was an original Jeff Hunter RC Sportscraft hull from 1988. It has had a number of owners over the years and had basically been left for dead and was hanging in a garage until 2004 when Mike McKnight bought just the hull. The entire boat was gutted and repaired. Major modifications and repairs to the bottom of the tub and airtrap. One nontrip had a hole to be fixed and several pounds of epoxy and steel BBs were removed from the sponson tips by cutting holes in the deck and hammering them out. The entire deck was then overlaid with carbon fiber. A new cowl bought from Troy McIntire and a new turbine tube, rear deck and wings were laid up from scratch. This boat was the 2006 Grand Prix Classic Concourse Winner. Now Preston inherited this boat from his dad and took a 2nd place finish with it at the 2007 Grand Prix Classic. Now he is racing in the district at 11 years old.
